The Children’s Park of Tyler hosts a variety of meaningful events throughout the year, designed to bring the community together in celebration, reflection, and healing. Whether you’re looking for a quiet moment of remembrance or a joyful family gathering, our calendar of events offers something for everyone. Explore our annual traditions such as the Day of Remembrance, where families honor the lives of their loved ones in a serene, supportive atmosphere, or join us for Christmas in the Park, a magical evening filled with lights, music, and the spirit of the holiday season.
We also host events that offer opportunities for personal growth and healing, such as the Remembrance Run, a community race honoring those we’ve lost, and the Mother’s Day Retreat, which provides a peaceful space for mothers to reflect and recharge. Each event at The Children’s Park is designed to strengthen the bonds of love and remembrance. Be sure to check our event calendar regularly so you don’t miss out on these special moments of connection and support.

This event features a roll call honoring the children remembered that day, along with heartfelt words, songs about grief, and a beautiful live butterfly release. Hearing the names of our children spoken lets us know our children are not forgotten and we are not alone in our grief.

Christmas in The Park is a special evening for our community to come together and celebrate. This event includes beautiful lights throughout the park as you enjoy Snowman Soup, s’mores, crafts, a photo booth, carols, and the Christmas Story.

Join us for our Remembrance Run benefitting The Children’s Park of Tyler. This race seeks to give our community a way to honor those we’ve lost. Join us by running in memory of a family member, friend, or someone you may not even know but wish to recognize. Runners can carry their loved one’s picture, or share a legacy memorial sign along the route with the community. Proceeds ensure The Children’s Park continues offering free bereavement care for families mourning the death of a child.
